| Clock
Table (Wash) |
Restoring
furniture and creating unique and challenging finishing
effects for furniture is one of my specialities.
The
"clock table" project is a great example of this. The face
of the table was to look like an antique clock, aged and
detailed. The piece was 7 feet wide, and made of expensive,
heavy wood. The detail was exacting, requiring precise placement
of letters and sizing of the gold leaf. The whole piece
was then given three separate color washes to give it just
the right "aged" look. The pictures show the progress of
the project from start to finish.

| Table
with Floral Design |
This table
was given to me by a client who had white washed the unfurnished
piece. He had an idea of what he wanted; the colors he had
picked out, and he had seen a picture of a striped table with
a decorative flower pattern over the top. |

| Stairway
Railing Stripped From Original Yellow (left), then Antiqued
(right two photos) |
The
pictures to the right show a stairway railing I worked on
which was originally painted yellow. I stripped the yellow
paint and antiqued the railing to give it a much older,
more elegant feel.
